How to request an examination copy
Examination for U.S. faculty:
If a book is available in paperback: you may examine any paperback provided that you enclose $5.00 per title (check or money order). Orders submitted without this payment will be returned.
If a book is available in hardcover only: we have a 60-day loan policy for hardcovers.
You may examine hardcover books for possible course adoption for 60 days, after which you may: 1. Adopt for course use and keep the book free of charge provided that you return the invoice with the name of the bookstore that has ordered or will order 10 or more copies. 2. Buy the book at 20% discount. 3. Return the book in saleable condition and pay nothing. This option is not offered if a paperback edition of the title is in print.
How to order exam copies: For both
paperbacks and hardcovers, teachers who wish to consider our books
for course use should request examination copies on departmental
letterhead, including daytime phone number, the name of the
course, and its anticipated enrollment. Limit: three titles per
instructor per semester. Requests for paperbacks must also include
payment. Send requests to Georgetown University Press, c/o Hopkins Fulfillment Service, P.O. Box 50370, Baltimore, MD 21211-4370.
How to request a desk copy
If you have adopted one of our titles, you may receive a gratis
copy. Please write your request on campus letterhead or on the
standard National Association of College Stores request form,
and send it to Georgetown University Press, c/o Hopkins Fulfillment Service, P.O. Box 50370, Baltimore,
MD 21211-4370, or fax it to 410-516-6998. Be sure to include all
of the following: title, author, ISBN number; the course title
and estimated enrollment; the name of your bookstore ordering
the textbooks, the quantity ordered and the date the order was
placed; and the date by which the desk copies are needed. A desk
copy should not be requested if an examination copy has already
been received. For courses with multiple instructors, we can provide
one desk copy for each ten students enrolled.
