All Georgetown University Press books are held under copyright. We enforce protection of copyright on behalf of our authors and the Press, and we ask that you respect copyright laws when using our material.

Georgetown University Press grants permission to reproduce copyrighted material for a modest fee, provided it does not constitute more than 25 percent of any of our books. Most items are available through the Copyright Clearance Center; however, accessibility requests and other permissions should be emailed to Georgetown University Press.

Language Labs and Multimedia

The Press allows limited use by school language labs of the audio and video components that accompany our language programs. For further information, please contact Georgetown University Press.

Permission to Photocopy or for Use in Coursepacks

Georgetown University Press grants permission to reproduce copyrighted material for a modest fee, provided it does not constitute more than 25 percent of any book. Permission to photocopy is granted for the duration of the semester/term requested only. Unless explicitly stated, licensed material may not be included in any electronic database. Requests first should be made online through the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC). Any special requests for materials not in CCC or other uses, please contact Georgetown University Press.

Permission to Reprint in a Print or Digital Publication

The Press grants permission for copyrighted material to be reprinted in other publications and in electronic formats, including websites. Please direct requests to the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC). For any special requests for materials not in the CCC or other uses, please contact Georgetown University Press

Please note that permissions cannot be given over the telephone and do not become effective until receipt of the fee. Allow two weeks for the processing of your request.
